Ok not quite - but we are incredibly excited to announce that Moses Seitler, Screen Share’s Founder and Director, has been named as Runner Up for Digital Leader's 'Young Digital Leader of the Year 2022'.
This award recognises the hard work of everyone who has become part of the Screen Share team, and we would like to thank every volunteer and donor. Moses was chosen from a high number of nominees to a shortlist of 10, before coming second! We are particularly proud to be the only small charity on the shortlist.
"This category recognises the extraordinary achievements of young people aged 16-30 in the digital transformation space. This award is for a young individual whose actions in the past year have made them stand out as a leader in the transformation of their sector."
Moses came up with the idea for Screen Share at his home in North London, during the coronavirus pandemic. A year and half later, Screen Share has passed along 182 laptops to young refugees around the UK, and remains the only organisation in the South of England that provides tech to refugees, at no charge. We have growing team of enthusiastic volunteers, and recently welcomed our first paid employee.
We are extremely proud of both Moses and what our team has built, as well as every single one of our recipients. Accompanying him to the awards dinner was Parvis, one of our recent laptop recipients, who is also passionate about technology and has become a friend of Moses. We hope to continue taking Screen Share to new heights, supporting more and more refugees and asylum seekers across the UK.
